The services we provide:
 Periodontal; consultation, periodontal management advice, conservative and
surgical treatment, periodontal regeneration, maintenance and all forms of mucco-gingival surgery including crown lengthening, frenectomies and crown
exposures.
Oral Implants; consultations, surgical placement, maintenance and treatment
of peri-implantitis. Due to the multitude of dental implant companies and
suppliers, we have restricted our practice to two suppliers to ensure that
long support can be maintained. Our faith in Astra and Straumann implants,
which is supported by long term studies, gives us the confidence to
restrict our practice to these two companies.
All of our patient will require a consultation, which includes a thorough
medical and dental history. For all of our patients the following
documents are required for a consultation:
Most periodontal patient will require a
consultation, which usually lasts an hour. Following this a treatment plan
will be recommended. A letter explaining the patients diagnosis and
treatment plan will sent to the referring dentist.
Following the initial debridement phase,
a review period will be recommended which will result in either further
treatment, being a closed or open (surgical) debridement or the patient
being placed on a Supportive Periodontal Therapy (SPT or maintenance)
program. This SPT program can involve the referring dentist/hygienist. We
use the Periodontal Risk Assessment as our guide for the frequency of
these visits.

We currently use the AAP (1999) guidelines for diagnosis/classification
and most patients will be issued with a Florida Probe charting readout.
